A presentation last week is the first step toward a new community group in Wayland. Jim Cluney and Mark Feilmann served as Optimist Club representatives to talk to council about the organization. The focus of the group is on the youth of communities, honoring police, firefighters, paramedics, government officials, placement of flags during the five national holidays and more. Their goal is to start a chapter in Wayland.
