Shortages of propane continue to be a problem across Iowa as farmers harvest and try to dry their corn. Moisture content of field corn being harvested for grain was at 19% last week. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the corn harvest is two weeks behind average. Producers in southeast, northwest and north central districts report having 90% or more of their expected crop harvested, while farmers in the northeast and south central districts trail with less than 80% complete.
