A Wayland woman with two warrants was arrested in Missouri. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 10:30 a.m. Friday officials in Linneus, Missouri, contacted Washington County officials stating they were out with a subject wanted out of Washington County. Officials arrested 26-year-old Nikita Renee Jones on two warrants. She was wanted for identity theft over $1,500 and under $10,000, bond for that was set at $5,000 cash only. The second warrant was for violation of probation on the original charge of possession of methamphetamine. Jones was detained and extradition arrangements were made.

Some of the charges stem from an incident that happened in April of 2018 on Lexington Boulevard, when a deputy was out with a person who had thrown a suspicious bag from a vehicle. The contents of that bag were sent to the DCI lab for testing of controlled substances.
