The Lone Tree wrestling team opened their season last night and split a triangular.

The Lions defeated Van Buren by a 24-12 tally. They won all four contested matches by fall that included Mathew Hemsted at 138 lbs in 48 seconds, Caleb Smith at 152 lbs in 3:05, Will Hotz at 170 lbs in 4:40, and Timothy Mills at 220 lbs in 25 seconds.

Lone Tree then fell to New London 63-0, but only lost four contested matches. They get back on the mat tomorrow in Montezuma for a tournament.
