The Wayland city council received an update at their recent council meeting regarding a sewer improvement project. Jim Warner with Warner Engineering informed the council that his company is continuing to review data and sewer televising information. When the final information is gathered the two groups will work together to form a proposal for repairs and lining. A draft of a sewer facility plan to go to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources is in progress. The first phase of the plan is focusing on reducing water volume in the system. A review of the city’s sewer system and discussion of a possible lagoon project began in late summer.
