The fall semester is wrapping up for college students and finals are quickly approaching. Director of the Kirkwood Washington Regional Center Tera Pickens advises students, especially those taking college finals for the first time, to not stress out, “I think students kind of get that test anxiety, especially if it’s their first time taking finals. If they’ve been, you know, engaged in their classes throughout the term, attending classes, staying on top of their homework, and studying they’ll be prepared and they’ll do well. Just don’t stress out. But also, you can’t just go into finals week and just wing it. You definitely need to be doing the upfront work.” She recommends going through study guides ahead of finals, reviewing materials, and preparing for the end of term.
All Kirkwood Community College locations, including Washington’s, will be closed for the holidays December 21st through January 1st.
