The Lone Tree wrestling team made a trip to Montezuma on Saturday for a tournament and a few individuals brought home some hardware.

Will Hotz stood alone in the 170-pound weight class with three wins to capture first place. He won by fall in 1:45, a 10-3 decision, and then pinned Waukee’s Blake Hauck in the championship match in 1:30. Tim Mills at 220 lbs also nabbed a title with three wins all by fall including taking down Pleasantville’s Cale Anthony in 1:17 in the first place match. Mathew Hemsted was the other Lion wrestler competing and he fell in a pair of matches.

The Lions get back on the mat Saturday at Tri-County for a tournament.
