Several pieces of the plan came together for the new splash pad project in Wayland at the most recent city council meeting. Council awarded the Splash Pad and Restroom Improvements Project 2019 contract to Myers Construction of Mediapolis at a value of $218,000. Council also approved a resolution to purchase equipment for the splash pad at a cost of $52,843.23 from Water Odyssey. The area will have a nature theme and will be called the West Park Wetlands. Construction is slated for the spring.
