Keokuk County resident John Webb was honored at the 2019 Keokuk County 4-H awards night with an induction into the County 4-H Hall of Fame. Webb began in 4-H as a member of the Plank Jr. Farmers club, which was run by his father. His projects included garden baskets, rabbits and dairy cattle. His mother was the leader of the girls Stick-to-it-Club where his sisters were members. As he continued, he ran for and was elected to the County Council, then joined the Eleven County Council and served as a camp counselor. His children also participated in 4-H while in school.

Webb joined the Keokuk County Exposition Board where he served for 19 years. In 2000, Webb took over as president of that board and served until 2012. He was able to secure 501C3 IRS status for the board so that they could apply for and accept grants. He has retired from the board but continues to offer support and guidance to those involved and the youth of the county.
