The Hillcrest Academy boys and girls basketball teams are back on the floor Tuesday night when they travel to Wapello to meet the Arrows and Indians in a Southeast Iowa Superconference doubleheader. The Hillcrest girls come into the game with an overall record of 1-5. They were beaten in Kalona Friday by Pekin 56-12. Yani Gutierrez led the Ravens in the loss with eight points. On the year, Hillcrest is led by Gutierrez at 12 points per game. She is also the team leader with 19 rebounds. Meredith Blossom and Esther Hughes each have seven assists to pace the Ravens.

Wapello comes into the game with an overall record of 4-1. Last time out the Arrows hammered Highland 55-20 behind 21 points from Holly Massner. On the year Massner is averaging a team best 13 points. She also leads the Arrows with 25 assists and 22 steals. Eryka Dickey leads Wapello with 30 rebounds. These two teams met twice a season ago with the Arrows sweeping the season series 47-43 in Kalona and 57-41 in Wapello.

The Raven boys come into the game at 2-2 on the season after a big win at home Friday over previously unbeaten Pekin 68-54 behind 27 points from Eli Ours. On the season, Ours leads the Ravens at 24 points per game, sixth most in class 1A. Ours also has 13 assists to lead the Ravens. Kobe Borntrager has a team best 28 rebounds.

Wapello comes into the game with an overall record of 1-3. Last time out they were beaten at Highland 51-41 Friday. On the year the Indians are led by Caden Thomas at 13 points per game. Thomas and Rhett Smith are tied for the team lead with 21 rebounds. Maddox Griffin leads the Indians with 22 assists. These two teams met twice a season ago with Hillcrest sweeping both games 58-51 in Wapello and 37-28 in Kalona.
