The last opportunity to improve the resume before the holiday break is tonight for the Washington basketball teams, as they close out 2019 facing Mount Pleasant for Southeast Conference action.

The Demon boys look to keep pace at the top of the league with a 3-2 overall record and 2-0 in the conference. Kasen Bailey has led the offense with 11.2 points a game and Ethan Patterson averages 10.8. The Panthers are off to a 2-4 start and 1-1 in league play. Keegan Kohorst has been a boost offensively with 12 points a night.

The girls seek their fourth straight win, as they are 4-2 and 1-1 in conference. A big second half propelled them to a 49-38 victory over Sigourney on Monday. Mount Pleasant (1-5, 1-1) has struggled offensively with 28 points an outing and Lydia Stewart accounts for 7.8 of them.
