Two famous rivals in the KCII listening area will meet for one final game before the Christmas break Saturday when Winfield-Mt. Union visits WACO. The Lady Wolves come into the game at 4-4 overall after a 59-26 win over Hillcrest Academy on the road Friday. Kyndal Townsley led WMU in the win with 13 points. Jobey Malone had 10. On the season WMU is led by Malone, Farrah Nelson and Townsley, each scoring seven points per game. Townsley has the team lead with 14 assists, Nelson owns the team lead with 68 rebounds.

WACO comes into the night with an overall record of 1-7. Last time out they were beaten at Holy Trinity 42-25 Friday. The Warriors are led on the year by Ellah Kissell at 11 points per game. Molly McLaughlin and Kissell are tied for the team lead with 10 assists each and Morgan Graber paces the Warriors with 35 rebounds. These two schools met three times a year ago with the Warriors getting two of three, beating the Wolves 47-20 in Winfield, 50-32 at Burlington Notre Dame in the Southeast Iowa Superconference Shoot out, but the Wolves scored a 45-35 regional playoff victory.

The Winfield-Mt. Union boys are 2-4 on the season. They were beaten Friday by Hillcrest Academy in Kalona 59-45 despite 14 points from Daunte Oepping. For the year, the Wolves are led by Oepping with 14 points per game. He holds the team lead with 28 assists and Jared Arnold has a team best 36 rebounds.

WACO comes into the night with an overall record of 7-0. The Warriors won at Holy Trinity on Friday 59-47. Drew Kissell leads WACO this year, scoring 15 points per game. Nik Coble has the team lead with 29 assists and 14 steals. Coble also leads the Warriors with 72 rebounds. These two teams met once a season go with the Warriors taking a 72-36 road win. Action gets underway at 5p.m. tonight at WACO High School.
