A free Christmas meal is being offered in Washington for individuals and families in the area. The First Assembly of God and Washington Church of God are again hosting the free meal. Pastor Dave Watson shares why they have this event, “What we’ve found really by talking with individuals last year and just in the community, that for some people Christmas is not a happy time of year for them. For some it’s a chaotic time, or it reminds them of something that, you know, a loss that maybe they experienced. But what really brings it all together is when individuals come together, when families come together, and are able to be in community with one another. And when we go together like that, when we work together like that it really, truly makes the Christmas season what it’s all about.”
Reservations are not required, but are appreciated so they know how much food to have ready. Meals can also be delivered. To set up a delivery call 653-3749 and be sure to leave your name, phone number, number of meals you’d like, and your address.
