The Highland Robotics Team, the Finger Tightans closed out their regular season Friday, hosting their only home meet of the year. They split six battle matches at the meet. According to group leaders, the goal of that meet was to allow rookie operators to gain experience driving the robot. In total, the Finger Tightans competed at seven events during the regular season at Iowa City High, Central Lee, Solon and Williamsburg. Next up for the team from Highland is their final regular season meet Thursday, January 9th at Penn Central Mall in Oskaloosa. From there the team will get ready for the league championship meet at Indian Hills Community College January 25th where a top performance could qualify them for state at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Coralville in February.
