Riverside native Macy Marek is being recognized by Iowa State University. Marek is receiving the Leadership Excellence Award from the Iowa State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council. This award goes annually to a graduating senior based on their involvement in clubs and organizations at the school while attending. While enrolled at Iowa State, Marek has been a leader on the Block and Bridle and Bacon Expo, competed on the livestock judging team, served as a College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Ambassador, is a member of the Alpha Zeta Honors Fraternity, Cardinal Key Honor Society, Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, participated in multiple study abroad trips, and was a member of the President’s Leadership Class.
