Mid-Prairie senior Isaac Boucher has had a terrific career on the mat as a Golden Hawk, and he passed a major milestone right before the Holiday break. Boucher scored his 100th career win as he captured the 195lb title in Troy Mills at the North Linn Lynx Invitational. The victory came in a fitting fashion, dominating opponent Nathan Rechkemmer of North Linn and scoring a fall in just 30 seconds.
Boucher’s first career win at the varsity level came on January 5th, 2017 when he put Isak Skeie of Tipton on his back in 2:14. His 50th career win came at the 2018 Jeremy Fulk Classic in the semifinals against teammate Michael Kelly by fall in 33 seconds.
Other accomplishments in Boucher’s career include a 2019 River Valley Conference Championship and a sixth place finish at the 2019 state tournament. Boucher’s career record in Des Moines is 3-3. He is currently ranked No. 3 in class 2A at 195lbs in the latest poll from thepredicament.com.
