It’s a quick turnaround for the Highland wrestling team to start the New Year, as the Huskies open the second half tomorrow night at Notre Dame High School in Burlington for the Nike Duals.

The Huskies will have four duals on the night against Pekin, Mount Pleasant, Louisa-Muscatine, and Notre Dame. A pair of freshmen have emerged for Highland, as Easton Schlabaugh has built a 15-1 record at 113 lbs and Logan Bonebrake is 10-4 at 138 lbs. Senior Cael Yeggy has been a steady force at 195 lbs with a 7-4 mark. Head Coach Derick Ball is ready for his guys to get back on the mat. “We are excited to get back at it and compete. We have had a nice training phase over break and we are ready to show our improvements. These duals will be a great measuring stick to see where we are at.”

The duals get underway at 6 p.m. tomorrow in Burlington.
