A Washington tradition is continuing in a new building this year with the annual Washington Fire Department pancake day. The fire station was officially opened in December with a ribbon cutting and will be the site of this year’s pancake dinner. The annual fundraiser serves attendees sausage patties, fried eggs, and unlimited pancakes. Nearly 2,000 meals were served last year combined during lunch and dinner. Tickets can be purchased in advance from Washington fire fighters or at the door the day of the event. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and dinner will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 8th.
