It was the first tournament of 2020 for the WACO wrestling team on Saturday, as they traveled to North Tama for an Invitational.

The Warriors placed fourth as a team out of seven with 54 points and North Tama took home the gold with 91. Jalen Collins picked up right where he left off from the first half of the season with a title at 126 lbs. He won all three of his contested matches by fall in a combined 6:01. Other notable finishes included Jaden Williams second at 170 lbs, Ryan Maschmann third at 132 lbs, Isaiah Johnson third at 195 lbs, and Landan Provino third at 220 lbs.

WACO gets back on the mat Thursday at Mediapolis for a triangular.
