For the first time this season Washington basketball fans have an opportunity to see both the girls and boys team play on the same night when they make a trip to Muscatine for a doubleheader.
Both Demon teams are riding high after opening 2020 with wins on Friday, as the girls routed Fort Madison 46-23 and the boys hung on for a 57-50 victory. The girls are 5-3 overall and the boys are 5-2. The Muskie girls are a bump up in class size and they are 4-5 on the season, but fell in their final three games of December. Zoey Long carries the offense with 14.4 points a night. The Muskie boys have struggled to a 1-5 start and Noah Yahn paces them with 15.7 points a game.
The doubleheader begins at 6 p.m. with the girls’ game and the boys to follow in Muscatine. Listen to the action on FM 106.1 KCII starting around 5:30 p.m.
