The Hillcrest Academy Ravens and Highland Huskies will meet in Kalona tonight for a Southeast Iowa Superconference basketball doubleheader. The Hillcrest girls come into the night with an overall record of 1-9 after a 73-42 loss to New London on Saturday. The 42 points, the largest offensive output for the Ravens on the season included 15 points from Esther Hughes. On the season the Ravens are led by Yani Gutierrez at 11 points per game. She also leads the team with 60 rebounds and 16 assists.

Highland comes into the contest with a 3-9 after a 44-39 win over English Valleys on Saturday. In that game the Huskies were led by Alyssa Brase with 19 points and 13 rebounds. On the season, Highland is led by Brase at 13 points per game, she is also the team leader with 104 rebounds, Haley Sweeting holds the team lead with 37 assists. These two teams met twice a season ago with the Huskies winning 51-25 in Riverside and the Ravens taking a 63-61 victory in Kalona.

The Hillcrest boys are 4-4 entering tonight. They lost to New London on Saturday 53-34 with Eli Ours scoring a team high 13 points. For the year, Ours leads the way at 19 points per game. He also has a team best 31 assists. Kobe Borntrager leads the Ravens on the glass with 52 boards.

The Highland boys come into the contest with an overall mark of 8-1. The Huskies rolled English Valleys Saturday 52-28 with Mason McFarland scoring a team best 15 points. On the year Highland is led by Zach Lasek at 16 points per game. He is also the team leader on the boards with 89 rebounds. Cole Adamson holds the team high mark with 32 assists. These two teams met three times a season ago with the Hillcrest winning all three by a combined nine points. Action begins tonight at 6p.m. at Hillcrest Union in Kalona.
