Washington has been named a community finalist in the 2020 Healthiest State Awards in Iowa. The finalists for the Healthy Hometown Powered by Wellmark Community Award includes Washington, Creston, Dallas Center, Dickinson County, Manning, Waverly, and West Union. TenderCare in Mt. Pleasant has been named one of four finalists in the Early Care Provider category. The annual awards will be announced in West Des Moines on February 6th. The awards are part of the Healthiest State Initiative which aims to recognize individuals, workplaces, and communities who work to improve the physical, social, and emotional health of Iowans.
