The WACO Wrestling team traveled to Mediapolis for a Superconference triangular Thursday against Cardinal and the Bulldogs. The Warriors scored a win over the Comets 45-24. WACO got wins in contested matches from Jaden Williams at 170 by fall and Isaiah Johnson at 182 by fall.
WACO fell to MEPO in their home gym 37-36 on criteria. There was only one contested match in the dual, won by Keegan Akers of Mediapolis to give them the tiebreaking criteria. Weather permitting, the Warriors are scheduled to travel to Van Buren for a tournament Saturday.
