A Washington High School senior is competing for one of three positions on the 2020 Iowa Pork Producers Association Youth Leadership Team. Madison Fishback is one of 15 competing. The winners will be named on January 23rd following a two-day competition at the Iowa Pork Congress. The Youth Leadership Team is for young people passionate about the pork industry. All contestants must be seniors in high school or college students up to age 20. Candidates are judged on their knowledge about pork and pig production, as well as a speech presentation, personal interview, media interview, and experience.

The female contestant with the highest score is automatically crowned the Iowa Pork Queen and receives a $4,000 scholarship. The 2019 Pork Queen was Gracie Greiner of Washington County.
