As the first week of Iowa’s legislative session for the year comes to a close, legislators will meet with constituents in Washington. The first legislative briefing of the session will be held Saturday. Local elected officials will be in attendance including Republican Representatives Jarad Klein and Joe Mitchell and Democratic Senators Kevin Kinney and Rich Taylor. The briefing runs from 10 a.m. to noon at the Washington County Courthouse. Following the legislative briefing, a women’s march for equality is being held in downtown Washington.
