Few people can claim they are chemical engineers, but students at Keota Elementary will soon have the opportunity to dabble in the field. The Washington County Extension Office and Keota Elementary announced they will continue their after school STEM club. The club is open to fourth through sixth grade students who want a hands-on approach to STEM research. “Plants to Plastics,” as the unit is called, will meet February 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th afterschool until 5 p.m. at the Keota Elementary Library. The registration form can be found on the Extension’s website. Registration will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis until January 30th. The $10 registration fee can be made out to Keota Elementary PTO.
