Area 4-H members have many opportunities to represent Washington County at the state and national level. Applications to do so must be completed by February 1st. Opportunities include National 4-H conference for 9th-11th grade members, National 4-H Congress for 9th-11th grade members, State 4-H Council for 10th and 11th grade members, and State 4-H Project Awards for any high school members. The interviews for State 4-H Recognition Day will be March 28 with awards announced in mid-April. The purpose is to provide youth recognition while offering opportunities to grow leadership, communications, and college or career readiness skills through application and interview activities.
