While high school students work hard to complete homework for the upcoming week, one Lone Tree senior was busy operating his new business. Seventeen-year-old Ayden Ohly will open up his thrift shop yet again, aptly named Ayden’s Closet. Ayden was born with Autism and is partially verbal, but those who have come to the store before can completely understand him. His mother, Michelle, opened up the store so Ayden could learn vital life skills before he graduates in the spring. The Lone Tree community rallied around this new store and soon items by the car load showed up. All of the proceeds made at the store will go back into the community or into special education, says Michelle. Ayden’s Closet was opened to the public on Saturday, January 19th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The shop is located on 203 N Devoe Street in Lone Tree. If you would like to learn more about donating to Ayden’s Closet or know when they will be open next, call their number at (319) 855-8943.
