A pair facing multiple drug charges and charges for supplying substances to a high school student in Columbus Junction will appear in court this Friday. Arraignment for James Huber and Kimberly Butterbaugh will be in Louisa County this Friday. The two worked for ABM Janitorial Services, which is a contracted company for the Columbus School District. The pair was arrested in December after a teenager was found impaired and in distress at the Swinging Bridge. The minor was taken for treatment.

According to court records, Butterbaugh is charged with drug distribution to a person under 18, controlled substance violation, unlawful possession of a prescription drug, supplying alcohol to a person under the legal age, providing tobacco to a minor, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Huber faces the charges of distributing a drug near a school, controlled substance violation, unlawful possession of a prescription drug, supplying alcohol to a person under the legal age, providing tobacco to a minor, and possession of drug paraphernalia. They’re both being held at the Louisa County Jail.
