The Riverside City Council discussed the selling of a lot of city owned property on Commercial Drive during it’s latest city council meeting. The council approved the selling of the vacant lot for $1.75 per square foot, which comes out to a total of $268,329.60. The council also set up separate meetings for the maximum tax dollars and levy and for the council’s budget. This was done in cooperation with Iowa’s new law requiring two separate public hearings for the budget. The council will meet again on February 3rd.
