The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls basketball teams are back at home Friday when they host the Camanche Indians. The Golden Hawk girls come into the night with an overall record of 4-9. The Hawks were beaten at Tipton Tuesday 46-41 with Maddie Nonnenmann scoring eight points. On the year the Hawks are led by Nonnenmann at 11 points per game. She is also best on the glass with 67 rebounds. Amara Jones leads Mid-Prairie with 52 steals and 45 assists.

Camanche comes into the game with an overall record of 3-11. The Lady Indians fell to No. 1 Cascade on Tuesday 46-15. On the season they are led by Tarah Wehde at six points per game. She is also the team leader with 19 assists and has a team best 65 rebounds. These two teams played a year ago with Camanche getting the win 48-38.

In the night cap it will be the Golden Hawk boys meeting the Indians. The Hawks have had a tough week dropping a pair of overtime games to fall to 3-9 on the year. Their latest loss was Tuesday at Tipton 63-60 in extra time. Mid-Prairie was led in the game by Carter Harmsen’s 14 points. On the year the Hawks are led by Harmsen at 13 points per game. Brad Tornow has the team lead with 53 assists and Aidan Rath leads the Hawks with 78 rebounds.

Camanche comes into the game with an overall record of 11-0. The Indians are ranked No. 2 in class 2A according to the latest poll from the Associated Press. In their last game the Indians won at Cascade 59-52 led by 18 points from Caleb Delzell. On the season Camanche is led by Delzell at 15 points per game. He is also the team leader with 101 rebounds. LJ Henderson leads the Indians with 37 assists. These two teams met a year ago with the Indians winning 72-43. Action begins tonight at 6p.m. at Mid-Prairie High School.
