Optimae LifeServices has received $40,000 to help with workforce training. The grant comes from the Iowa Employer Innovation Fund. Optimae was one of 14 recipients for the grant program and provides health care and human services for individuals with disabilities and mental illness from more than 40 Iowa counties.. The funds will be used to grow Optimae’s partnership with the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals with its the front line supervisor training material, expanding opportunities for postsecondary credentials. The organization states the training program will help ensure staff, including those from minority populations, are empowered to train their direct reports and provide the care that those with disabilities require to lead valued roles in their communities of choice.
