Just over 900 high school basketball players across the country were recently nominated for the 2020 McDonald’s All American Games and two KCII area athletes made the cut.

Keota’s JD Stout and Highland’s Zack Lasek are two of Iowa’s 26 nominees for the highly regarded all-star event. Coaches, athletic directors, principals, or a McDonald’s All American Games selection committee member can nominate a player that is a senior and is in good academic standing. Both players have been dominant forces on the court for a long time at the varsity level. Stout leads class 1A in scoring with 28.9 points per game for the 9-2 Eagles and Lasek puts up 17 points and 9.4 rebounds an evening for the 12-2 Huskies.

All nominees have the chance to be selected to play in the games on April 1st in Houston, Texas.
