Riverside was the destination for three area wrestling teams on Thursday for a quadrangular meet and Columbus Community/WMU swept the competition.

The Wildcats defeated Cardinal 73-0, Highland 54-21, and Lone Tree 58-15. Lane Scorpil led the way at 106 and 113 lbs with a pair of contested match wins by fall in 1:37 and a 10-4 decision. Brody Barton also had two victories on the evening with a pair of pins in a combined 3:44.

In addition to dropping a dual to the Wildcats, the host Huskies turned around and beat Cardinal 66-6 and Lone Tree 54-24. Bryce Thompson had a pair of pins at 106 lbs in a combined 2:55 and Cael Yeggy was two for two at 182 lbs with falls in a combined 7:41.

The Lions finished 1-2 in duals by defeating Cardinal 23-18. Caden Smith had an efficient night winning all three of his matches by fall in a combined 9:37 at 145 lbs. Will Hotz had two wins at 182 lbs by a 21-6 technical fall and 8-4 decision.
