Louisa-Muscatine High School was the destination for three area-wrestling teams on Saturday for a tournament.

Washington had the top area finish in seventh out of 10 teams with 83 points while Cedar Rapids Kennedy won the title with 226. WACO placed eighth with 57 and Highland was right behind in ninth with 54.5. Matt Collett had a memorable day finishing first at 120 lbs with three pins in a combined 6:39. Ayden Frazer was also a champion at 160 lbs with a fall in 1:06 and a 10-2 major decision. Brayden Hartman placed third at 285 lbs and Justin Simmering was fourth at 132 lbs.

Jaden Williams was the top Warrior finish in second at 152 lbs by winning a 16-8 major and then getting pinned in the title match. Jalen Collins was third at 126 lbs.

Bryce Thompson received the gold for Highland at 106 lbs. He claimed a 19-3 technical fall and 6-0 decision win for the title. Cael Yeggy was second at 182 lbs and Easton Schlabaugh was third at 113 lbs.
