The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team traveled to Denver-Tripoli Saturday for a dual tournament. Mid-Prairie met up with Beckman Catholic, Fennimore Wisconsin, North Fayette Valley and Stewartville Minnesota. Mid-Prairie ended the day with a 2-2 record. Mid-Prairie scored a 45-29 win over North Fayette Valley. The Hawks got wins in contested matches from Vinnie Bowlin at 152 by fall, Ben Meader at 170 by fall, Cory Allen at 182 by 10-3 decision, Isaac Boucher by fall at 195, and Josh Wallington at 220 by fall.
Mid-Prairie also took down Stewartville Minnesota 42-33. The Hawks got wins in contested matches from Mose Yoder at 113 by fall, Mason Hartley in sudden victory at 145lbs, Vinnie Bowlin at 152 by fall, Cael Garvey at 160 by fall, Cory Allen at 182 by 5-3 decision, Isaac Boucher at 195 by fall, Josh Wallington at 220 by fall and Gannon Callahan at 285 by fall.
In a loss to Dyersville-Beckman 45-36 the Hawks had wins in contested matches from Mose Yoder at 113 by fall, Vinnie Bowlin at 152 by fall, Cael Garvey at 160 by fall, and Ben Meader at 170 by fall.
In a loss to Fennimore Wisconsin 63-9, Mid-Prairie got wins from Vinnie Bowlin at 152 by 15-3 major decision and Cory Allen at 182 by fall. With the split, Mid-Prairie finishes their duel season with a 14-14 record.
