In an all-KCII area doubleheader Monday, the Highland Huskies host the Hillcrest Ravens in Superconference action. The Hillcrest girls enter the game with a 1-16 overall record. They fell in the Superconference shoot out Friday in Kalona to the Cardinal Comets 52-38 despite a career high 26 points from Yani Gutierrez. On the season the Ravens are led by Gutierrez at 10 points per game. She is also the leader with 24 assists and 86 rebounds.

Highland comes into the game at 5-16 overall. They also fell in the shoot out Friday 54-29 against Danville. Abbi Stransky led the Huskies in the loss with seven points. On the season, Alyssa Brase is the team leader at 13 points per game and 175 rebounds on the season. Haley Sweeting has a team high 69 assists. These two teams met in early January with the Huskies getting a 56-18 win led by 18 points from Brase.

In the boys contest Hillcrest enters the night at 8-6 on the year. The Ravens have won back to back games including a 59-44 win at Winfield-Mt. Union Thursday where Eli Ours and Kobe Borntrager each went for 20 points. On the season the Ravens are led by Ours at 18 points per game and 55 total assists. Borntrager leads the Ravens on the glass with 102 total rebounds.

Highland is 16-2 on the season. The Huskies pounded New London Saturday 69-50 behind 34 points and 11 rebounds from Zack Lasek. On the season Highland is led by Lasek at 17 points per game and 177 total rebounds. Cole Adamson has a team best 60 assists. These two teams met in early January with Highland getting a 65-58 win in Kalona behind 24 from Lasek. Action begins at 6p.m. at Highland High School.
