Highland Elementary students will be able to put on the lab coats and learn all about invasive species in March. The Washington County Extension and Highland Elementary Support Organization are partnering to bring a STEM club to Highland fourth and fifth graders. Students will be learning skills through a project focused on how to stop the Cane toad from taking over New Zealand. The STEM club called “Hop to it” will meet March 9th, 16th and 23rd and registration is open until February 28th. Registration forms were sent home Monday, and can be found at the elementary office as well. Registration is $10 and limited space is available.
