A Washington County man won $150,000 playing Powerball. Larry Simon of Riverside matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball in a drawing on May 25th and claimed his prize last week at the lottery’s regional office in Cedar Rapids. His initial $50,000 prize was tripled because he opted for the $1 Power Play add-on. He purchased the winning ticket at Casey’s in Riverside. Simon plans to use part of the winnings to pay bills. He was one number away from sharing a $306.8 million jackpot.
