The water main break between Springer Avenue and Colton Street in Columbus Junction has been fixed. Crews worked throughout the day Monday and finished the job and opened up roads at 7 p.m. No water was shut off due to the work and no boil order was in effect during the time. City officials say the cause of the incident is thought to be the rapid change in temperature from the weekend to Monday, when temperatures went from 34 degrees up to 54 degrees.
