The Washington Demons are preparing for the state large group speech contest being held this weekend. The Washington High School speech team has 16 students advancing to the state contest in Cedar Rapids. Those 16 will be presenting in the short film, group improv, and one act categories. The team is led by Audrey Skoog.

Short film: Ella Goings, Emmylia Geyer, Jenna Messer, Molly Klinzman, and Raven Carnes
Group improv: Mathew Osborn, Kevin Flannery, and Allison Rees
One act: Hannah Rees, John Flannery, Alec Schiefer, Bailey Rees, Kara Poeschel, Quinn Wubbena, Sophie Murphy, Kevin Flannery, and Aidan Miller
