The first step on the way to Wells Fargo Arena begins today for Iowa High School wrestlers with the start of sectionals and area teams scatter across eastern Iowa.

In class 1A Sigourney-Keota, Highland, and WACO will all make a trip to Mediapolis along with the Bulldogs, Cardinal, New London, Pekin, and Van Buren. Lone Tree will be at the West Branch location and they will join the Bears, Durant, Louisa-Muscatine, Iowa City Regina, Wapello, and Wilton. Columbus Community/WMU will compete at Davenport Assumption for class 2A along with the Knights, Camanche, Central DeWitt, Tipton, and West Liberty. Individuals that are in the top two for their weight class will advance to next week’s districts and the top two teams advance to regional duals on Tuesday.

All of the action begins at noon today at each location.
