The WACO girls’ basketball season came to a close on Thursday when they fell to Burlington Notre Dame 55-23 on the road in a first round class 1A regional game.

The Warriors stuck around for a while trailing just 6-3 after one and 18-11 at half, but a big Nike third quarter that extended the lead to 21 put the game out of reach. Rylie Todd was a playmaker for the Nikes finishing with 15 points including three triples.

WACO finishes the season 5-17 and they say goodbye to seniors Grace Conwell, Laney Graber, and Maysan Lee.
