The Sigourney boys’ basketball team completed a season sweep of Tri-County on Monday night when they downed the Trojans 63-46 in the first round of a class 1A district.

The Savages created separation early when they hurried out to a 20-5 advantage after one and 39-17 at the break. The lead grew to 30 when Tri-County made a run to make the final score closer than it appeared. Four Savages were in double figures led by Ben House and Levi Crawford each with 12 points. Mason Harter and Josh Mohr each chipped in with 11 points. Harter also hauled in nine rebounds.

Sigourney improves to 10-11 and they face off with Burlington Notre Dame (17-4) tomorrow in the district quarterfinal.
