Friday in class 2A

At 106lbs No. 8 Lane Scorpil of Columbus-Winfield Mount Union beat Arnie Galvan of Mount Vernon by 6-2 decision in the quarterfinals to advance to Friday’s semifinal round where he fell to No. 2 ranked McKinley Robbins of Greene County by major decision.

At 195lbs No. 8 Isaac Boucher of Mid-Prairie was beaten in the quarterfinals by fall by No. 9 Gabe Hermsted of Carlisle. In the consolation bracket Boucher was beaten by fall by Gage Marty of Solon. Boucher has been eliminated from the tournament.

Friday in class 1A

At 106lbs No.7 Bryce Thompson of Highland was beaten by No. 3 Garret Rinken of Nashua-Plainfield. In the consolation bracket against Kale Peterson of West Fork-Sheffield, Thompson was beaten by major decision. Thompson has been eliminated from the tournament.

At 126lbs Mason Dye of Sigourney-Keota dropped his quarterfinal match to No. 3 Beau Klingensmith of Woodbury-Central by fall. In the consolation bracket Dye stayed alive by pinning Jaksen Cobb of Wayne or Corydon. He will wrestle Saturday against No. 6 Wyatt Reisz of Logan-Magnolia.

At 132lbs Jalen Collins of WACO was pinned in his consolation match by No. 9 Nate Thomsen of East Sac County. Collins has been eliminated from the tournament.

At 152lbs No. 9 Jaden Williams of WACO was beaten by No. 4 Tate Entriken of Hudson by major decision. Williams has been eliminated from the tournament.

Also at 152lbs Jack Clarahan of Sigourney-Keota was beaten by No. 6 Nate Monahan of Woodbury Central-Moville. Clarahan has been eliminated from the tournament.
