A car and a semi collided on Highway 218 near Ainsworth, sending one person to the hospital Wednesday night. According to the Washington County Communications Office, the wreck happened on Highway 218 near 230th Street at about 8:38 p.m. and one person was trapped. The two drivers were Brian Clements and Charles Cejka. Following the initial call, the people were able to get out of the vehicles. Washington County Sheriff’s personnel, Ainsworth QRS, Ainsworth Fire Department, and Washington County Ambulance responded to the scene. One person was taken by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
