Kids in Washington will be able to take part in weekly challenges to test their LEGO skills. The Washington Public Library is starting a LEGO club. Librarian Jenisa Harris tells KCII News that each week there will be a different theme or challenge. She says the program will help young students learn different skills, “They get to test their imagination, test theories. One of the ones we’re going to do is bridge building. So, they can test the strength of if something’s too thin or too long, or too high. And really trial by error is a great way for kids to learn and they’re working in teams, which is a really great thing to take into adult life, as well.” The club is for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. No registration is required. The club will meet 4-5 p.m. each Monday starting March 9th.
