An agricultural conference developed for women by women will again be held in Washington. The fourth annual Women in Agriculture Conference will be held March 28th. Field Agronomist Rebecca Vittetoe who is helping to organize the event shares the theme, “We’re excited to be offering it for the fourth year. And so, our theme for this year’s conference is ‘Setting the Table for Success.’ So the focus will be on what people do we need to have around the table and what resources do we need to have around the table to help make informed decisions and be successful in agriculture.” The speakers include the “Iowa Nice Guy” Scott Siepker, author Elaine Kub speaking on grain markets, Market to Market host Delaney Howell discussing the dynamics of agriculture and changing aspects, and comedian and author Kay Frances talking about “The Funny Thing About Stress.”

The event begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. followed by the speakers and lunch, and closes with a networking and wine tasting. The conference will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Washington. To register contact the Washington County Extension office or to register online click here.
