A 19-year-old Washington resident was arrested following a string of burglaries that happened early Thursday. According to the Washington Police Department, on Saturday authorities arrested Tijon Malik Harrill. He’s charged with one count of burglary in the third degree, six counts of burglary to a motor vehicle, and five counts of criminal mischief.

According to police records, multiple cars were vandalized at seven homes in Washington with many having a powder foam substance covering their interiors. Also, residents reported credit cards, cash, electronics, and a shotgun as stolen from their vehicles. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Washington County Attorney’s Office assisted with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be considered.
