The great outdoors will come inside Friday for a special youth event at the Washington Public Library. Library Director Bryna Walker tells KCII News that for this Friday’s early out from school the library is hosting a program for students, “For March for our youth activities we have Fri-yay Fun Day, which is the Friday that Washington gets out early at 1:30 p.m. So that will be this coming Friday, March 6th, from 1:30-2:30, and we won’t be having a movie this time. We’re actually having the Marr Park Naturalist come and bringing some little animals.” Walker adds that Naturalist Megan Jorgensen will lead the hands-on program. Kindergarten through fifth grade students are invited to the event, and parents are welcome to attend. No registration is necessary.
